

The Inventory Management module covers all aspects of the Product Lifecycle allowing great flexibility for a variety of business processes. Inventory Management allows detailed and complex processing around products structured either by their product codes or using other collectives such as Types and Groups, and also Analysis using other user-defined codes.

We offer customers the ability to maintain warehouse details against specific products, and to issue and receive products, into a specific warehouse. Minimum and maximum stock levels, safety stock levels; and re-order quantities are all held at warehouse level. Within Warehouses the OpenLogistix system also supports multi-branch and multi-bin processing as necessary.
The system creates a unique stock lot for each product received into a warehouse. This enables full traceability of the product throughout its life. All movements and history are held against the stock lot.
The ability to determine if a product is serial numbered and to maintain serial number allocation rules. The system allows for the allocation of a serial number at either issue or receipt. Full tracking of serial numbers against purchased and manufactured product is provided.
If a product is to be superseded by another then our system automatically sets the equalling but reverse connectivity (e.g. one replaces the other)
The OpenLogistix Inventory Management module has the ability to maintain products with a pre-defined multi-level structure. This allows for automatic product generation and the ability to enquire across multiple product structures.
The Inventory management module allows for stock take listings to be produced by warehouse, product group, product, and value. OpenLogistix allows the ability to export to spreadsheet and to unfreeze the warehouse after count. Discrepancy reports can be generated with the ability to update online.

In order for a company to manage its inventory OpenLogistix provide a number of administrative functions. These can be distinguished between planned movements i.e. Distribution Orders and those which are un-planned.
The General Ledger is updated with transactions automatically during the inventory process. This would include as a minimum postings during any transaction not driven by the sales order or purchase order process.
