Overview

Features

Single Warehouse Material and Multiple Warehouse Material Flow - A company may require the ability to control the flow of materials in a more detailed way or for some products to be inspected upon receipt. The inspection process may apply to purchase and/or production receipts. The definition of whether a product is due for inspection upon receipt can be set in the existing Product Inventory Warehouse Details record. Within this module users can automate product flow control via pre-set company parameters (e.g. definition of default Receipt Location; e.g. separate Receipt Location for inspected goods)

Process - The Warehouse Management module allows a company to process all planned stock movements, and un-planned receipts, by the use of Inventory Tasks. Such stock movements may be transactions within a single [intra-] warehouse or transactions which are [inter] warehouse-to-warehouse.  Completion of the task creates a corresponding stock movement and updates the inventory balance in the designated location/s accordingly.

Handheld Terminals and Bar Coding - The module fully supports bar code scanning via Radio Data Terminals (RDT) hand held terminals accessed via wireless routers. Integrated with Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Stock Control, and Warehouse Management the use of RDT’s in the warehouse speeds the operation, improves efficiency and reduces costly mistakes.

With full RF-ID scanning capability, the system provides the capability to scan the receipt into stock, scan to automate the put away to a location, scan to pick stock for despatch and scan to complete the despatch and issue stock.

Users can set automatic (default) reason codes for various transaction types. For example for purchase- works order receiving and due for inspection or for putting stock on hold following short or failed pick.

The terminals can be configured to operate in a single- or multiple warehouse environment allowing the customer to set default receipt locations, optional default inspection locations or a default despatch location.
