Advanced provides IT solution for Pfizers Health Check Service
February 2010 - Advanced Computer Software plc (Advanced) today announces it has signed a five year contract with Pfizer to supply a hosted SAAS software solution supporting Pfizer’s Vascular Health Check Service to primary care organisations delivering vascular screening services through settings such as community pharmacies.
Pfizer’s new commercial service enables providers of the NHS initiative to conduct all aspects of the NHS Health Check programme. The check reviews health and lifestyle information to try to identify those most at risk of coronary heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
Advanced will supply software which will record the patient's test results and lifestyle information, and guides the clinician through a prescribed health check process, calculating a patient's risk score and providing advice on how to prevent the onset of these life threatening conditions whilst also sending crucial results back to the GP.
