ACS strengthens iNurse and end of life rapid roll out
July 2009 - Advanced Computer Software, leading IT provider of unscheduled and urgent care solutions has acquired StaffPlan Ltd, a London based domiciliary and homecare software provider.
StaffPlan’s Roster software provides an advanced rostering and administration solution, designed specifically for community care providers. Its ‘Connect’ solution provides secure point of care systems, delivering live rosters and electronic monitoring to care workers on mobile devices. The solutions are delivered as a hosted application in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
Launched in 2000, the business has established a leading role in a growing market. StaffPlan’s customers include 30 local authorities including Blackpool Council, Derbyshire County Council, along with Primary Care Trusts such as Camden and Peterborough.
StaffPlan also serves major independent providers of nursing and homecare services including Support Care, Independent Living Services, Age Concern and Carewatch Care Services.
This acquisition further supports ACS’s rapid rollout of its iNurse and End of Life applications delivered by Adastra. Following its recent acquisition of managed service provider BSG, ACS continues to develop the recurring hosted (SaaS) model of these applications and the increasing use of handheld mobile devices to deliver and manage primary health care in the home.
Vin Murria, CEO of ACS, said “The acquisition of StaffPlan allows us to develop further our reputation as a leading supplier of innovative software solutions to the very substantial homecare sector. An area where literally thousands and thousands of carers still use paper for their schedules and patient treatment management. Mark Chapman, the founder of StaffPlan brings to ACS over 20 years of valuable experience in the domiciliary and homecare sector.”
