Crosscare provides a complete clinical solution for keeping electronic patient records and its Bed Management module provides inpatient and day care booking facilities, together with waiting list management, making it an ideal solution for community hospitals. Crosscare's functions allow for wards to be created in multiple locations, with user configurable parameters providing the flexibility required to make and amend bookings, take beds out of circulation, transfer patients between beds and monitor admissions and discharges.
Day Care centres can equally book patients into 'chairs', either individually or for a number of weeks, and again monitor arrival and leaving times. Transport needs for patients can be recorded and mapped to addresses so the system can provide the information required for route planners and mapping products to create the most efficient pick-up route, for example, where a mini-bus may be used to bring the patients in to the day centre.
Other Crosscare modules appropriate for community hospitals include its' Dispensing module that allows the keeping of stock records should the hospital have the need to manage an in-house pharmacy.
