"Advanced Health & Care have
provided a solution to a significant
problem for the NHS, namely
widespread availability of information
across all health settings. If we are
to improve patients lives, we need to
ensure that up to date information
is available to all who need it. With
the implementation of the End of
Life Strategy, we need to be able to
provide the opportunity for patients
to choose where they would like
to die. These wishes need both to
be respected and to be available in
planned and emergency settings.
The End of Life Care Register at last
allows us to do this."
Dr Julian Abel,
Consultant in Palliative Care,
Weston Area Health Trust

Many primary care clinicians in A&E departments now work in partnership with the acute team to deliver the most appropriate type of care and avoid unnecessary and expensive hospital admissions.
Adastra allows fast registration, triage and patient referral to the most appropriate service within the hospital. By interoperating with systems such as Ascribe, a patient can, where necessary, be handed over electronically from Adastra to a hospital system, thus ensuring consistency of care and accurate measurement and reporting of the patient journey. Adastra's vast reporting capability supports service commissioners in analysing trends and measuring service provider performance.
Adastra can also send an electronic summary of the episode of care back to the patient's GP surgery system.
