We work with children and their families over long periods of time and Crosscare supports us in providing the best possible care through providing an integrated approach to the different care provision from multiple sites and services. Minor Injury Units (MIUs) play a very important and integral part within the unscheduled care service. They predominantly offer a service in between out-of-hours and A&Es.
MIU services are provided to ease the pressure from A&E departments, especially with the continual increase of A&E admissions. They offer a non-invasive service for conditions such as twisted ankles and broken wrists. This essentially diverts patients with these injury types from A&E, allowing them to concentrate on patients with life-threatening conditions.

Without the need for any development, Adastra will allow you to capture patients' demographics when they first present themselves to the MIU service.
