Advanced Computer Software’s staff go wild for The Prince's Trust

Princes Trust3 November 2011 – Seventeen fearless members of staff from Advanced Computer Software Group (Advanced) braved the elements to take part in a three day coast to coast challenge, raising more than £18,000 for The Prince’s Trust.
The Prince’s Trust helps thousands of disadvantaged young people each year to build their confidence and get back into work, education or training.
The physically gruelling Wild UK Challenge saw 17 members of Advanced’s staff hike, cycle and kayak over 100 miles from Somerset to Devon in just three days, raising much needed funds for disadvantaged young people across the UK.

Advanced Computer Software Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Vin Murria, comments, “This was an exciting but punishing challenge which pushed the Advanced teams to the limit. They trained exceptionally hard for the Challenge and all did an excellent job of finishing such a gruelling course in one piece, if a little bruised and battered.”

Murria adds, “We are delighted to have raised funds for The Prince’s Trust, which works hard to change the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK.”

Advanced entered four teams with one of the teams – ABSFab – raising a total of £6,235, the second highest amount of the 39 participating teams.
Becky Rawle from The Prince’s Trust says, “We are extremely grateful to all 17 Advanced staff members for their inspiring efforts. It is thanks to companies like Advanced that disadvantaged young people across the UK can be given a second chance.”
